Consulting Services for Warehousing & Distribution - Case Studies - 6. Pharmaceutical Packaging Materials

This pharmaceutical manufacturer had a separate warehouse for its packaging components, and the facility shipped components to the production facility. The warehouse was much larger than the operation required so the company asked Distribution Design to determine the right amount of space and the operational processes thast would improve performance and lower costs.

Distribution Design's recommendations provided effective storage of the components with greatly improved storage utilization, improved operational processes, and the entire operation requires about 25% of the space of the current facility.
